Kim Jaebyung, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, visited Pungdo, Ansan on the 19th to encourage dedicated volunteer firefighters and inspect the fire response system.
On this day at Pungdo, Kim held a meeting with the dedicated volunteer firefighters, listened to safety management issues, and observed a fire suppression drill utilizing fire trucks and emergency fire extinguishing equipment.
At the event, Kim promised unwavering support to expand the role and strengthen the expertise of the dedicated volunteer fire brigade.

Kim stated, "The volunteer fire brigade is the community's first responder and a reliable guardian of residents' safety," and urged, "Please continue to carry out effective, field-oriented activities with a sense of responsibility and pride."
Pungdo is a small island in the West Sea, located about 24 kilometers southwest of Daebudo in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, and is situated at the westernmost point of Gyeonggi-do.
