The Gyeonggi Institute of Economy and Science Promotion announced that, starting from now, it will hold its executive meetings at company sites every Monday in order to listen to the voices of businesses in the province.
The institute stated that, beginning on the 19th, it would have executives, including President Kim Hyungon, visit small and medium-sized enterprises, ventures, and startups in the province every Monday to hold meetings. The first meeting was held at the Northwest Gyeonggi Startup Innovation Space located in Goyang.
The Gyeonggi Startup Innovation Space provides startup spaces and support services to new businesses in the province as part of the Gyeonggi Pangyo+20 Project.
At the meeting, topics such as global expansion strategies for startups in northern Gyeonggi, market expansion, technological innovation, and securing talent were discussed.

In particular, the participants shared the difficulties related to regional limitations, such as the lack of infrastructure and the outflow of talent experienced by companies in the northern region. Executives and company representatives freely exchanged opinions on-site, and together sought practical solutions for each topic.
The institute plans to quickly identify current issues and challenges faced by startups, share response strategies for each division, and work with companies to develop and promptly present solutions. Through these efforts, tangible effects are expected in expanding support that companies can feel and in promoting balanced development of the regional industrial ecosystem.
Kim Hyungon, President of the institute, said, "We have started a relay of executive meetings to visit and listen directly to businesspeople who continue to persevere in the field despite difficult external circumstances. We will listen to the voices of small and medium-sized enterprises, ventures, and startups at each hub, and have executives at the director level or higher present on-site to propose solutions and carry out administration that meets the needs of the field."
