Kwon Seongdong, floor leader of the People Power Party, stated on the 19th regarding his party's presidential candidate Kim Moonsoo, "I am confident that the more people get to know him, the more they will realize he is truly a good and outstanding person."

Through social networking services (SNS) that day, Kwon candidly admitted, "To be honest, I did not know him well until recently," and shared his impressions of candidate Kim from close observation.

He introduced an episode from the 'Companionship with the Underprivileged' event held at Seoul City Hall, where Kim praised candidate Lee by saying, "Lee Junseok was the leader of our party. He knows more about the party's policies, ideology, and people than I do," and added, "Yesterday's debate MVP was also Lee Junseok." Kwon continued, "I was truly surprised when I heard this," and remarked, "Most politicians would be busy boasting that they did the best, but he was not acting like a typical politician."

Kwon also commented on Kim's performance in the previous day's debate, saying, "He asked questions that got to the heart of the issues surrounding Lee Jaemyung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, and calmly explained his own achievements and pledges." He added, "Even so, he humbled himself and praised Lee Junseok, which was both surprising and refreshing."

Additionally, Kwon recounted that during the TV debate the previous day, Kim was refused a handshake but asked again, and even after the debate, he did not make an issue of it. Kwon said, "This made me realize once again that he is a person with strong inner character."

Kwon stated, "The more I see our candidate during the campaign, the more I feel he is truly humble and possesses a strong character," and added, "Honestly, I did not know until recently how many achievements and results he accomplished as governor of Gyeonggi Province in the past."

Previously, Kwon had gone on a hunger strike to urge the unification of candidacies with former Prime Minister Han Ducksoo. Subsequently, the People Power Party's emergency committee canceled Kim's nomination, accepted presidential candidate applications at 3 a.m., and received a sole application from Han Ducksoo, leading to internal and external controversy over Kwon's resignation. However, since Kim expressed his wish for Kwon to remain, Kwon has continued to lead the campaign as floor leader.
