This program is held once a week, with each session lasting three hours, for a total of 29 sessions. It is structured as a beginner-level, practical conversation course. Around 20 foreign workers are expected to participate, with the aim of helping them overcome language barriers and adapt to the local community.
This program is part of the "Visiting Korean Language Education" initiative, in which Goryeong County provides instructors while tenant companies offer the venues. Previously, in March, a TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) preparation class was launched at the Goryeong 2 General Industrial Complex, receiving significant interest and positive feedback.
County Governor Lee Namcheol stated, "Based on the achievements at the Goryeong 2 Industrial Complex, I hope that foreign workers at the Donggoryeong Industrial Complex will also actively participate in learning Korean," adding, "We will continue to expand support programs to promote employment stability and community adaptation for foreign workers."
