21 New Jobs to Be Created at Dongjeon General Industrial Complex
Changwon Special City announced on May 19 that it has signed an investment agreement with Donghwan System at the mayor's reception room. The agreement involves an investment of 11.2 billion KRW and the creation of 21 new jobs.
The signing ceremony was attended by Jang Geumyong, Acting Mayor of Changwon Special City, and Kim Yonghee, CEO of Donghwan System. Both parties agreed to cooperate for job creation and regional economic development through new corporate investment and support for smooth investment progress.
Donghwan System was founded as a private company in 1992 and became a corporation in 2008. With over 30 years of experience, the company specializes in defense electronics components, producing parts for the KF-21 fighter jet and the K9 self-propelled howitzer.
The company has been recognized for its technological competitiveness, earning certifications such as the Innovative Small and Medium Enterprise designation and the Aerospace Quality Management System certification (AS9100D), and continues to grow based on its top-tier quality and technological capabilities.
Due to a recent increase in defense component orders, Donghwan System plans to relocate and expand its headquarters from the Changwon National Industrial Complex to a newly established site within the Dongjeon General Industrial Complex.
Jang Geumyong, Acting Mayor, stated, "We are grateful for the decision to invest despite challenging domestic and international economic conditions. We will do our utmost to provide administrative support so that Donghwan System can grow into a leading company in the domestic and international defense component manufacturing industry as a result of this investment."
