Ansan City Recruiting Young Entrepreneurs for 'Soso Planet' Youth Mall with 50% Rent Discount

Applications Open Until May 26 for Nine Available Stores

On May 19, the city of Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, announced that it will be accepting applications from young entrepreneurs wishing to open new businesses at the youth mall 'Soso Planet Sinan·Danong' until May 26.

'Soso Planet' is the name of the youth mall, meaning 'a complex cultural space filled with small, everyday pleasures.' The mall operates a total of 40 stores across two locations: 'Sinan Coa' at 315 Seokho-ro, Sangnok-gu, and 'Danong Mart' at 1 Yesulgwangjang-ro, Sangnok-gu.

Eligible applicants are prospective entrepreneurs aged 39 or younger as of the announcement date, or business owners whose business registration is less than three years old. A total of nine stores are available for recruitment: five stores at Sinan Coa (three restaurants/dessert shops and two workshops) and four stores at Danong Mart (three restaurants/dessert shops and one workshop).

Selected applicants will receive various benefits, including partial support for remodeling, youth entrepreneur training, online and offline promotional support, and a 50% reduction in rent. However, products and menu items already being sold at the youth mall, as well as duplicate menu items, are not eligible for support.

Those wishing to apply should fill out the application form and business plan and submit them via email. For more details, applicants can refer to the 'News' section on the Ansan City Hall website or contact the Youth Policy Office at Ansan City Hall.

Ansan Mayor Lee Minguen stated, "We will do our best to expand opportunities for young people to actively participate, promote mutual growth with traditional market merchants, and help establish a foundation for self-reliance."
