According to the Democratic Party's Central Election Committee, Lee will begin his Seoul campaign on this day by visiting the Korean Senior Citizens Association in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. He plans to meet with Lee Joong Keun, the president of the association, among others. Chief spokesperson Cho Seung Rae explained, "He will listen to the difficulties seniors face in their daily lives and seek institutional improvements to ensure a healthy and happy old age." Lee will also pay his respects at the tomb of Kim Koo.

In the afternoon, Lee will continue his campaign by visiting Yongsan Station Plaza, Times Square in Yeongdeungpo-gu, and Sangsangmadang in Hongdae, Mapo-gu, in succession. Chief spokesperson Cho stated, "He will present his vision for a society where both young people and seniors enjoy fair opportunities and where everyone can dream," adding, "He will also propose a vision to revive the people's economy by discovering new growth engines and alleviating inequality."

Notably, the campaign events on this day will take place in areas with high foot traffic, such as train stations and commercial districts. There is a possibility that bulletproof glass barriers will be installed at the campaign sites for security. Lee is wearing a bulletproof vest weighing over 3 kilograms at every campaign event. Police officers and special police units will be stationed in nearby buildings and on rooftops. Radio frequency detectors will be deployed to guard against drone attacks, and explosive and hazardous material detection dogs will also be on site.

Starting in Seoul on this day, Lee is expected to focus his campaign on the Seoul metropolitan area, including Gyeonggi and Incheon, on the 20th and 21st. This intensive campaign schedule is seen as an effort to target the public sentiment in Seoul and the greater metropolitan area, which are considered key battlegrounds.

Meanwhile, on this day, to mark Invention Day, Lee stated on social media, "The government must take an active role in fostering creative thinking and a spirit of challenge, and provide a solid foundation so that future inventors can grow." He emphasized, "We are entering an era where anyone can turn their ideas into reality, and the creativity of each and every one of you will change the future of Korea and achieve great innovation."
