The main components of the project include the use of environmentally friendly feed (low-methane feed and nitrogen-reducing feed) and improvements to manure treatment methods. The environmentally friendly feed initiative provides feed cost support to farms raising Korean cattle, beef cattle, dairy cows, pigs, or laying hens that use nitrogen-reducing feed. The support is up to 50,000 won per animal per year.

The manure treatment improvement initiative provides activity cost support to farms that install and operate mechanical agitation facilities to mix manure, ensuring adequate forced aeration or oxygen supply during manure processing. The support is up to 1,500 won per ton, depending on the amount of livestock manure processed.

Farms wishing to participate in the project can apply by visiting the township or town administrative welfare center in the area where their farm is located.
