Gyeonggi Province Dispatches Trade Delegation to Saudi Arabia and Dubai, Facilitates $13.36 Million in Contracts

Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator dispatched the 'Machinery Parts Middle East Trade Delegation' to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, achieving 172 consultations and facilitating contracts worth a total of 13.36 million dollars.


This trade delegation was organized to expand export channels for machinery parts in the Middle East, where large-scale infrastructure projects are actively underway.

On May 13 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and on May 15 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, ten companies from Gyeonggi Province participated in the delegation. In Riyadh, they conducted 90 consultations and facilitated contracts worth 8.39 million dollars. In Dubai, they held 57 consultations and facilitated contracts worth 4.97 million dollars.


Park Kyungseo, Director of International Trade at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "This dispatch of the Machinery Parts Middle East Trade Delegation has secured new export opportunities," adding, "We hope that many machinery parts products from small and medium-sized enterprises in the province will be exported for the large-scale infrastructure development in the Middle East."


Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province plans to further diversify export markets for local small and medium-sized enterprises by dispatching additional trade delegations to China, Southeast Asia, and other regions in the future.
