Jinju City Operates Tourism Promotion Booth at Seoul "2025 Dongsim Hanmadang" Event

Children Enthusiastic Over the Appearance of Hamo and Hamo Friends Ayo
Crowds Gather at the Photo Zone and SNS Subscription Event

Jinju City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 19th that it participated in the "2025 Dongsim Hanmadang" event held at the National Assembly Lawn Plaza in Seoul. In collaboration with the Jinju Cultural Tourism Foundation, the city operated a booth promoting Jinju's diverse tourism resources, as well as its tourism characters "Hamo" and "Hamo Friends Ayo," receiving an enthusiastic response.


On this day, Jinju City actively promoted its major tourist attractions, including the Jinju Namgang Yudeung Exhibition Hall, Jinju K-Entrepreneurship Center, and Wolasan Forest Jinju. The city also introduced its seven representative cultural tourism products and highlighted major events and festivals such as the Korea Garden Industry Expo, National Heritage Media Art, Jinju M2 Festival, Gaecheon Art Festival, Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival, and Korea Drama Festival.

In particular, the Jinju tourism characters "Hamo" and "Hamo Friends Ayo" made appearances at the event, receiving enthusiastic cheers from children. They interacted directly with young visitors, greeting them and taking photos together, which created a cheerful and lively atmosphere at the booth.


The photo zone, themed after the Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival and decorated with lantern images, captured the attention of children. Families consistently visited the photo zone to take commemorative pictures, further adding to the excitement of the event.


The booth also hosted a Jinju Tourism SNS subscription event. Participants who subscribed to Jinju Tourism SNS on-site and verified their subscription received Hamo-themed souvenirs such as mini keyrings and griptoks, which contributed to boosting the popularity of Jinju Tourism SNS.


An official from Jinju City stated, "Content tailored to children, such as Hamo, Hamo Friends Ayo, and the photo zone, was effective in fostering a sense of familiarity with Jinju. We will continue to actively promote family-friendly content and Jinju Tourism SNS to widely share the charm of Jinju."


Meanwhile, Jinju City plans to continue its promotional activities by participating in major events and expos in the second half of this year.
