Support Program for Guarantee Fees and Loan Interest for Small Business Owners Who Received Non-Face-to-Face Loans
Financial Support Amounting to 11.6 Billion KRW Provided to 23,000 Beneficiaries
KB Kookmin Bank announced on May 18 that the total amount of support provided through the "KB Small Business Owner Support Project," which was launched to ease the financial burden and improve convenience for small business owners, has surpassed 10 billion KRW.
The "KB Small Business Owner Support Project," which began in April last year, is a financial support program that provides assistance with guarantee fees or loan interest to customers who apply for guarantee-backed loans or unsecured credit loans through non-face-to-face channels. To date, approximately 23,000 small business owners have benefited from the project, with a total support amount of 11.6 billion KRW.
For guarantee fee support, individual business owners who apply for the "KB Small Business Owner Guarantee-Backed Loan" using guarantee certificates from 17 regional credit guarantee foundations nationwide can receive up to 80% of their guarantee fees covered. For loan interest support, KB Kookmin Bank provides cashback on loan interest for a certain period to those who take out non-face-to-face small business owner credit loans. The bank has gradually expanded the eligible products for interest support, starting with the "KB Small Business Owner Credit Loan," and extending to products such as the "KB President+ Overdraft Account" and the "KB Seller Loan."
The "KB Small Business Owner Support Project" was recognized for its contribution to reducing financial costs and improving convenience for small business owners, and was selected as an outstanding case in the "Coexistence and Cooperation Financial New Products" category organized by the Financial Supervisory Service.
A KB Kookmin Bank representative stated, "We will continue to faithfully fulfill our fundamental role as a bank by actively discovering various and differentiated financial support programs to help stabilize the management of small business owners facing difficulties and grow together with the public," adding, "We will also continue to develop effective and tailored support measures for small business owners in the future."
