Enjoy Roses and Performances Together!... Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival in Full Bloom on the Second Day Residents Enjoying the Rose Festival

The 17th Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival, which opened on May 16, is being held as a festival where local residents and visitors come together.

On the first day of the event, unexpected heavy rain interrupted the performances. However, from the following day, a variety of programs have continued under clear skies.

On May 17, "Romantic Rose Day," which kept the festival spirit alive, many visitors?including families, couples, and friends?came to the festival venue.

The "Jungnang Rose Again" campaign, led by residents, drew particular attention that day. Under the theme "The Roses Return," about 300 residents participated by planting companion roses themselves and taking them home to care for, symbolically spreading roses throughout Jungnang in a meaningful activity.

The rose art exhibition, decorated with a "string art" experience, and a rose history docent program also offered visitors unique memories.

At the "Rose & Jungnang Artist Music Festival," performances in a variety of genres?including indie bands, hip-hop, classical, and jazz?added to the festival atmosphere. At the Romantic Rose Concert, singers Boohwal and Monni took the stage, heightening the excitement of the festival's second day.

In addition to the main stage, visitors also flocked to the Surimdae Rose Garden stage. At the multicultural festival, a local Mongolian restaurant participated to present traditional dishes, providing visitors with an opportunity to enjoy both global culture and the rose festival together.

In addition, a variety of performances held close to the audience, such as the tone chime performance and rose busking, also received enthusiastic responses.

The "Rose Road Market," another highlight of the festival, featured booths from traditional markets and food organizations to satisfy visitors' appetites. During Jungnang Rose Week (May 16 to 24), visitors to festival-affiliated stores can enjoy select menu items at a 10% discount.

Cho Mingu, Chairman of the Jungnang Cultural Foundation, said, "Thank you to everyone who visited the Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival again this year. We will do our best to ensure the rest of the festival is safe and enjoyable."

Ryu Kyunggi, Mayor of Jungnang District, also said, "I hope the Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival will become an unforgettable spring memory for both residents and visitors, and I will continue to work to promote the charm of Jungnang."
