IU Donates 50 Million Won Each
to Four Organizations

Singer and actress IU has donated a total of 200 million won to mark her birthday.

According to her agency Edam Entertainment on May 16, IU delivered 50 million won each to four organizations?Hope Pebble, National Center for the Rights of the Child, Happy Giver, and Warm Companion?under the name "IUANA," which combines her own name and the name of her fandom, "UAENA."

This donation will be used to support living expenses for families in poverty and elderly people living alone, to help young people preparing for independence settle into society, to provide living, medical, and educational expenses for single-parent families, and to support space welfare and advanced assistive devices for people with disabilities.

IU has consistently made donations under the name "IUANA" on meaningful days each year, such as her debut anniversary, birthday, and year-end holidays. Her donations this year alone amount to 550 million won. In March, she donated 200 million won to support victims of a major wildfire in the Gyeongsang region and to improve working conditions for firefighters. Earlier this month, on Children's Day, she contributed 150 million won for children and adolescents.

IU is set to release her remake album "Kkotgalpi Set" on May 27, marking her first remake album in eight years.
