This initiative began after Kakao Pay signed a business agreement with the Credit Recovery Committee in March to support credit education for military personnel and established a fund of 100 million won.

The latest session was held for approximately 150 soldiers of the Army Forward Unit 1st Infantry Division Invincible Battalion.

The event included a special lecture by a credit expert and the announcement of a video series on credit education. Various snacks were provided to participants via a food truck during break time.

The credit education video series consists of four episodes, covering topics such as credit management methods, ways to prevent financial fraud, telecommunications debt, and understanding debt adjustment systems.

YouTuber Gayoi and a soldier from the Forward Unit appeared in person, engaging in a talk show format with a credit education expert to share the perspectives of young people in their twenties.

The full video series will be released on the Credit Recovery Committee’s YouTube channel on the 21st and will also be posted on Army platforms such as Millipass.

Kakao Pay delivered 800 support kits to the Forward Unit to help soldiers maintain strong credit habits.

The support kits are designed to help soldiers enjoy safe digital lifestyles even during their downtime, and include informational cards on credit management, portable batteries, wireless earphones, and sachets for lockers.

Shin Wonkeun, CEO of Kakao Pay, said, "We decided to support the Credit Recovery Committee’s credit education for military personnel to deliver essential credit management information more closely to young people," adding, "We will continue to enhance financial accessibility through various activities so that everyone can start a healthy financial life."

Lee Jaeyeon, Chairperson of the Credit Recovery Committee, stated, "I hope this program has helped soldiers develop credit management skills so they can properly respond to financial fraud and debt issues when they enter society," and added, "We will continue to support practical, case-based credit education that can be applied in everyday life."
