According to Seogu District on May 16, this evaluation assessed the pledge implementation performance and level of information disclosure of 226 basic local government heads nationwide as of the end of December 2024. The evaluation covered five areas: completion of pledges, achievement of goals, resident communication, web communication, and consistency of pledges. Grades were divided into five levels (SA, A, B, C, D), and Seogu District in Gwangju was awarded the highest grade, SA, for the third consecutive year.

Seogu District received high marks for its transparent information disclosure and efforts to enhance resident accessibility, such as operating a randomly selected citizen jury to review pledges and regularly disclosing the status of pledge implementation on the main page of the district office website, as well as for establishing a democratic pledge implementation system.

Vice Mayor Baek Namin stated, "This evaluation result is proof that Seogu District in Gwangju is faithfully fulfilling its promises to residents," and added, "We will continue to build a trustworthy and virtuous Seogu through open communication and responsible administration."

As of the end of last year, Seogu District has continued its achievements by fulfilling 77.6% of its 49 pledge projects across five major areas: village-centered autonomous city, alley-centered economic city, people-centered welfare city, ecology-centered safe city, and happiness-centered cultural city.
