Approximately 40 participants from 31 companies in the wholesale, retail, and manufacturing sectors in the Miryang area attended the training. At this event, the Yangsan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor provided education on key aspects of labor-related laws to prevent wage arrears and protect vulnerable workers, and shared information to enhance employers' labor management capabilities.

The street campaign, held alongside the training, took place in Nae-dong and Sammun-dong in Miryang under the theme of "Campaign for Establishing Basic Labor Order with Labor, Management, and Government." Officials from the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Miryang City officials, representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Employment Welfare Center participated in promoting labor law awareness among citizens and merchants.

The Yangsan Branch also plans to operate "On-site Prevention Inspection Days" from May 19 to May 30, targeting wholesale and retail businesses, food and accommodation establishments, and construction sites in Miryang. This inspection will focus on thoroughly checking for wage arrears and will also include on-site labor management consulting.

In particular, during the inspection period, a "1:1 Customized Labor Counseling Center" will be operated to protect workers' rights. Counseling sessions will be held in the consultation room of the Miryang Chamber of Commerce and Industry for five days from May 19 to May 23, and are open to both company representatives and workers. A labor inspector in charge of the Miryang area will personally handle the consultations, addressing questions on all aspects of labor law, including wages, working hours, and dismissal.

Kwon Guhyung, head of the Yangsan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, stated, "We will continue to provide ongoing education and counseling support to help small businesses in the Miryang area better understand and comply with labor laws," adding, "We will do our utmost to ensure that basic labor order is established in the field, with a focus on preventing wage arrears in advance and protecting the rights and interests of vulnerable workers."
