The city·county evaluation is conducted by North Gyeongsang Province, assessing the overall administrative performance of 22 cities and counties in the province for the year 2024 using both quantitative and qualitative indicators.

This is a comprehensive evaluation system that assesses the achievements of local governments based on a total of 105 evaluation indicators, which include 95 government joint evaluation-linked indicators and 10 key provincial policy initiatives.

Gyeongsan City achieved excellent target accomplishment rates, surpassing the average in quantitative indicators, by meeting previously underperforming indicators such as ▲reducing energy consumption in government buildings, ▲priority purchasing to promote environmental friendliness and social value, ▲priority purchasing of new technology products, and ▲establishing a foundation for revitalizing the social economy.

Additionally, the city submitted exemplary cases that demonstrated its efforts and achievements in qualitative indicators, showing a high level of contribution. As a result, Gyeongsan City was selected as an excellent city in the overall evaluation, having achieved outstanding results across all areas.

Mayor Joo Hyunil stated, “We will continue to focus all administrative capabilities to make Gyeongsan a better place to live and a city where citizens are happy, so that these improvements can be felt by our residents.”

The 100 million won project fund received as a financial incentive from this evaluation will be invested in projects to improve citizen convenience and address local issues.
