On May 16, Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced the launch of the "Daily Life Inconvenience Help QR" initiative, which allows any citizen to conveniently report everyday inconveniences using a single QR code.

Hwaseong City: "Easily Submit Daily Life Complaints with a QR Code"

The "Daily Life Inconvenience Help QR" service connects a QR code to a Naver Form, enabling citizens to easily submit complaints about daily inconveniences without any separate authentication or membership registration.

To improve accessibility, the city has placed QR codes on bulletin boards at eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare centers, on the Hwaseong City website, on social networking service (SNS) channels, and on town boards inside apartment elevators. Submitted complaints are immediately forwarded to the relevant departments, and citizens are provided with both the resolution and the results of the handling process.

This service is a policy developed by the newly established "Help Dream Task Force (TF)," which was created to swiftly address the rapidly increasing daily life inconveniences resulting from the city's rapid expansion and population growth.

The TF is responsible for proactively identifying and resolving citizens' daily life complaints, as well as taking preemptive action on potential complaint demands to reduce the occurrence of complaints and to establish a sustainable administrative system.

In addition, the city operates various communication channels to gather a wide range of citizen opinions, such as the "Comprehensive Administrative Monitoring System," "Citizen Communication Square," and "Suggestions for Hwaseong Special City." In particular, the Comprehensive Administrative Monitoring System, which was launched this month, is a system designed to establish a preventive complaint management framework by enabling public officials to proactively identify and respond to issues.

Jung Myunggeun, Mayor of Hwaseong, stated, "The establishment of this TF is a measure to proactively listen to citizens' voices and resolve inconveniences at an early stage," adding, "We will pursue an administration that does not overlook even minor inconveniences through a systematic system."
