Enhancing Information Accessibility
with 3D Interactive Content
and Generative AI Chatbot
The Korea Aerospace Research Institute has completely revamped its main website for the first time in ten years.
Moving away from its previous text-centered introduction to research and development, the institute has implemented its core R&D achievements in the form of 3D interactive content.

The new platform allows users to directly rotate and zoom in on content using a mouse or touch, enabling a vivid and immersive experience of the research outcomes. Currently, the Nuriho service is available, and the institute plans to expand this feature to other major R&D achievements, such as Danuri and the stratospheric solar-powered unmanned aerial vehicle (EAV-4), within the first half of the year.
Additionally, the institute has introduced a generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology based on its own servers to establish an interactive chatbot system on the website. By training the AI on website information, it provides functions such as Q&A and content summarization, thereby reducing users' search time and significantly improving information accessibility.
Furthermore, by analyzing user data, the institute has reorganized the layout to focus on key menus and implemented an archive feature that allows users to easily download photos and videos related to aerospace R&D, greatly enhancing user convenience.
Lee Sangchul, President of the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, stated, "We will continue to strengthen our digital communication capabilities so that we can better inform the public about the institute's research achievements."
