Bonghwasan Mountain in Yanggu, famous for its sunrise and sea of clouds, was newly selected as one of Gangwon's Top 20 Mountains for 2025. In particular, the summit stone shaped like a white porcelain jar, which was installed last year, has become a popular spot for taking photos on social media.

This event, held in Yanggu, which has been selected as the recommended travel destination for May during the "2025-2026 Visit Gangwon Years," will recruit 100 participants on a first-come, first-served basis, and participation is free of charge. Participants will receive souvenirs and a commemorative towel for the Gangwon Top 20 Mountains, and a group drone photo will be taken at the summit.

Choi Sunghyun, CEO of Gangwon Tourism Organization, stated, "We are running an event in connection with the Gangwon Top 20 Mountains, encouraging visits to traditional markets in all 18 cities and counties of the province," and added, "I encourage everyone to participate in the event after certifying their visit to Bonghwasan Mountain and to enjoy a variety of benefits."

Further details about this event can be found in the notices section on the Gangwon Tourism Organization website.
