On May 16, POSCO Future M announced that it held the '2025 Wage Non-Negotiation Delegation Agreement Ceremony' at its Pohang headquarters, attended by President Eom Ki Cheon, Ma Sook Woong, chairman of the Manufacturing Union, Hwang Sung Hwan, chairman of the Maintenance Union, Shin Yong Su, head of the Maintenance Union Gwangyang Branch, and Kim Young Hwa, worker representative of the Labor-Management Council.

Through this non-negotiation agreement, the employee representatives have delegated the 2025 wage negotiations to the company in advance. They also agreed to focus their efforts on future growth based on stable and constructive labor-management cooperation, in order to overcome the difficult business environment, including the downturn in the domestic secondary battery industry.

The employee representatives stated, "In challenging times, labor and management must unite to overcome crises," and added, "We will continue ongoing communication and cooperation to uphold the tradition of labor-management coexistence."

President Eom said, "By inheriting POSCO Group's stable labor-management culture, POSCO Future M will also strive to make a company where employees are happy and will pursue future growth by making trust-based labor-management relations a source of competitiveness."

Meanwhile, POSCO Future M is mobilizing company-wide efforts to overcome the challenging business environment and enhance competitiveness. In February, the company launched a joint labor-management consultative body to address the management crisis. Led by the employee representatives, the consultative body has set three main goals: improving profitability, establishing a safety culture, and enhancing organizational culture, and is carrying out various improvement initiatives. So far, it has generated 594 field-specific improvement ideas and selected 39 innovation projects, which are expected to result in cost savings of 730 million KRW.

At the same time, the company is also focusing on strengthening its research and development (R&D) capabilities and diversifying its product portfolio. By organically linking research capabilities within the group, including POSCO Holdings Future Technology Research Institute, Pohang Institute of Industrial Science and Technology (RIST), and POSTECH, POSCO Future M is developing new products targeting entry-level markets such as high-voltage mid-nickel, lithium manganese rich (LMR), and lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) cathode materials. For lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode materials, the company is considering various commercialization strategies, including technology partnerships and joint ventures, in response to requests from multiple customers. In the anode materials sector, POSCO Future M plans to secure a leading position in the global market by developing high-value-added products such as low-expansion natural graphite anodes and high-capacity silicon-carbon composite (Si-C) anodes.
