Infinity Square Pool Soaring 140 Meters Above Ground
Three Types of Swimming Pools Proposed for Bangbae Shinsamho Apartment
Premium Community Facilities Highlighted, Including Private and Family Pools
HDC Hyundai Development Company has proposed three swimming pool designs, including the 'Infinity Square Pool' located 140 meters above ground, to the reconstruction association of the Shinsamho Apartment in Bangbae-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul.
On May 15, HDC Hyundai Development Company announced that 'The Square 270,' which it proposed to the Bangbae Shinsamho association, includes three types of swimming pools: an infinity pool reminiscent of Singapore's Marina Bay Sands Hotel, an amusement pool featuring a 25-meter standard lane and various facilities, and a luxury hotel-style private pool.
An industry insider explained, "In the past, there were limitations to continuous use due to maintenance difficulties and management fees. However, now, the application of renewable energy allows for effective reduction of electricity costs and management fee burdens." The insider also emphasized, "Apartment community facilities are now regarded as a measure of premium residential living, with swimming pools at the center."
The 'Infinity Square Pool,' located on the top floor of a 140-meter-high building, is designed to maximize 360-degree panoramic views. It is accessible via a dedicated elevator connected from the ground level. The pool offers views of Umyeonsan, Gwanaksan, as well as Namsan and the Han River. On the southern side of the complex, Seorae Elementary School and a park are situated, ensuring permanent open views, and residents can also enjoy the Seoul World Fireworks Festival.
The indoor 'Amusement Pool' is equipped with a 25-meter standard lane swimming pool, as well as a variety of facilities such as an aqua health pool, Bade pool, heated pool, and kids pool, making it suitable for families. The ceiling is designed to span two floors in height, providing a sense of depth and openness. The pool is also connected to adjacent sports facilities such as Glow Gym and Golf Arena. Additional amenities include private shower rooms and powder rooms.
'Maison 7' is a guest house designed in a luxury resort style, featuring seven private pools and jacuzzis, each with a unique design. Despite being located underground, the design incorporates natural lighting and outdoor air flow, resulting in an exceptional sense of space. The project reflects the expertise HDC Hyundai Development Company has gained from operating luxury hotels such as Park Hyatt Seoul and Busan, as well as resorts like Park Roche and Oak Valley.
Meanwhile, on May 9, only HDC Hyundai Development Company participated in the construction bidding for Bangbae Shinsamho Apartment, resulting in a failed bid. A second round of bidding is scheduled soon. Bangbae Shinsamho Apartment was completed in 1981 and consists of six buildings with 481 units. It was designated as a redevelopment area in September 2016, and the association was officially established in March 2019. After reconstruction, the complex will be transformed into six buildings with 920 units, ranging from five basement levels to 41 floors above ground. Nearby schools include Seorae Elementary School, Bangbae Middle School, and Seomun Girls' Middle and High School.
