402 Award-Winning Works on Display
at the Entire 3·15 Art Hall Until May 20
The 16th 3·15 Art Exhibition Awards Ceremony, jointly organized by the Masan Branch of the Korean Fine Arts Association and the Changwon Cultural Foundation and sponsored by Changwon Special City, was held at the 3·15 Art Hall on May 15.
The '3·15 Art Exhibition' is a major annual art event in Changwon, held to inspire the creative passion of local artists and to commemorate the Masan 3·15 Uprising. This year, a total of 807 works were submitted across various genres, including Korean painting, Western painting, watercolor, crafts, and folk painting.
Through a rigorous judging process, 3 Grand Prizes, 10 Excellence Awards, 2 Special Awards, 105 Special Selections, and 282 Honorable Mentions were selected in each category, with a total of 402 award-winning works being exhibited throughout the 3·15 Art Hall from May 15 to May 20.
At the awards ceremony, the Grand Prizes were awarded to 'A Place for Myself 1' in Western painting, 'Festival of Light' in watercolor, and 'Cheon Mang' in wood carving. Deputy Mayor Cho Myeongrae attended in person to present the Grand Prizes to the winners.
The exhibition, which began alongside the awards ceremony, offers visitors the opportunity to appreciate a diverse range of works centered on the award-winning pieces, providing citizens with a chance to experience artistic inspiration and creativity.
Deputy Mayor Cho Myeongrae stated, "I hope that the 3·15 Art Exhibition will serve as a special opportunity for Changwon citizens to communicate and empathize through art," and added, "I look forward to everyone having a rich experience through this exhibition, encountering diverse artistic perspectives and creativity."
