On the 16th, rain will begin in the morning and continue until night in Gwangju and Jeonnam.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, the area will be affected by a low-pressure system moving from near Shanghai, China to the seas off Jeju Island. The expected precipitation is 20 to 60 mm for the southern coast of Jeonnam, and 5 to 40 mm for Gwangju and other areas of Jeonnam. Morning lows are forecast to range from 16 to 19 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs reaching 19 to 23 degrees Celsius.
Waves in both the West Sea and South Sea coastal waters are expected to reach up to 1.5 meters. Fine particulate matter (PM2.5) levels are expected to be 'good.'
An official from the Meteorological Administration stated, "In areas where it is raining, visibility will be reduced and some roads may be slippery, so we advise drivers to maintain a safe distance, reduce speed, and pay special attention to traffic safety."
