The Financial Supervisory Service announced on May 15 that it will hold an information session on May 21 for high school teachers regarding "Finance and Economic Life," one of the elective subjects.
This session is designed to help teachers who will be in charge of the class understand the structure and characteristics of the "Finance and Economic Life" subject and to assist students in selecting the course. The "Finance and Economic Life" subject was newly introduced as a high school integrated elective starting from this year's curriculum, in accordance with the Ministry of Education's "2022 Revised Curriculum."
The information session will take place on the 9th floor of the Financial Supervisory Service headquarters, beginning at 3:00 p.m. Both online and offline participation is available to anyone. At the venue, experts such as financial subject curriculum developers and textbook reference book authors will provide guidance on the purpose of the course introduction, the structure and content of each unit, and teaching methods.
The Financial Supervisory Service stated, "We will ensure that the 'Finance and Economic Life' subject is successfully established in schools so that systematic financial education can be provided through the regular curriculum," adding, "Starting this summer vacation, we will conduct training sessions for teachers, and from July, we will offer special on-site lectures for students."
