Park Jiwon Criticizes Judge over Entertainment Allegations: "Doesn't Know How Dangerous the World Is"

"It's a Serious Issue That Even Photos Have Surfaced"
"Kim Keonhee's Excuse for Not Appearing Before the Prosecution, Citing 'Early Presidential Election Influence,' Is a Comedy"

Park Jiwon Criticizes Judge over Entertainment Allegations: "Doesn't Know How Dangerous the World Is" Photo by Park Jiwon, member of the Democratic Party of Korea

Park Jiwon, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized the controversy surrounding Judge Ji Guyon of the Seoul Central District Court, who is presiding over the insurrection charges against former President Yoon Sukyeol, for allegedly being entertained at a Gangnam room salon.

On May 15, during an appearance on KBC's "Yeouido Invitation," Park stated, "I heard that Kim Yongmin, the Democratic Party's senior deputy floor leader, has obtained photos of Judge Ji Guyon being entertained at a room salon. This is a very serious issue."

When asked about the circumstances under which the photos were taken, Park responded, "That's why the world is a scary place. About ten years ago, there was an incident involving prosecutors in Busan who were filmed being entertained at a room salon, and the video footage was exposed, leading them to take full responsibility."

He added, "I even asked whether room salons still exist these days, but since someone took photos and reported it, I don't think there is any way to avoid accountability."

Park also commented on the issue of Kim Keonhee, wife of former President Yoon, submitting a written statement of non-attendance to the prosecution regarding the investigation into her alleged involvement in candidate nominations, citing concerns that her appearance could influence an early presidential election. Park said, "Isn't this truly a comedy? The people who created the possibility of an early presidential election are Yoon and Kim Keonhee. Yet, when they are summoned for questioning over their involvement in candidate nominations with Geonjin Bopsa and Myung Taegyun, they refuse to appear, claiming it could influence the early election. When, then, do they intend to show up?"

In conclusion, Park stated, "Kim Keonhee is making excuses, but based on past precedent, the prosecution will likely summon her at least once more. If she still refuses to appear, an arrest warrant will be issued, so it's only a matter of time before Kim Keonhee stands before the press. She cannot hold out forever. As I have said before, Yoon and Kim Keonhee must go to the 'big house' (prison). This is becoming a reality, and I want to make that clear."
