Focused Promotion of Tourism Attractions Including the Global Barbecue Festival

Hongseong County in South Chungcheong Province announced that, in celebration of the '2025 Visit Hongseong Year', it participated in the '2025 Osaka Expo Korea Tourism Festa', which runs until May 16, to attract international tourists.
The county is focusing its promotional efforts on the 'Hongseong Global Barbecue Festival', which will be held from October 30 to November 2 at the Hongju Eupseong area, the 'Hongseong Namdanghang Musical Fountain Park', which is the largest water play facility in the country at 6,600 square meters, and the 'Hongseong Sky Tower', a 65-meter-tall observation tower offering beautiful sunset views of the West Coast.
The county plans to develop travel packages tailored for Japanese tourists by analyzing trends and preferences among Japanese travelers. It will also make every effort to attract Japanese visitors through consultations with local travel agencies in Japan and by offering incentive support.
Additionally, to engage visitors, the county is operating a variety of participatory programs such as Hongseong-themed quiz shows and local specialty giveaways. These initiatives are designed to allow visitors to experience the tastes and charms of Hongseong with all five senses and to directly encounter the region's specialty products, with the goal of maximizing efforts to attract Japanese tourists.
A county official stated, "This Osaka Expo will be a great opportunity to showcase the charms of Hongseong to Japanese tourists."
