Busan Veterans Affairs Office and KEPCO Busan Ulsan Headquarters Sign Agreement to Promote Veterans Culture on 80th Anniversary of Liberation

Expansion of Joint Promotion of the "Bobi House" Project
to Improve Housing for Low-Income Veterans' Families

The Busan Regional Office of Veterans Affairs (Director Namil Lee) announced on May 15 that it had signed a business agreement with the KEPCO Busan Ulsan Headquarters (Head Jaegeun Kim) in the Baek Jaedeok Room on the third floor of its office building to promote veterans culture on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of liberation.

This agreement aims for the two organizations to cooperate not only for the successful implementation of projects commemorating the 80th anniversary of liberation, but also to foster a "living veterans culture in everyday life." They plan to carry out joint projects in various fields, including the renovation of memorial facilities, support for veterans commemorative events, improvement of residential environments, and prevention of solitary deaths.

Since June 2010, KEPCO Busan Ulsan Headquarters has been continuously promoting the "Bobi House" project with the Busan Regional Office of Veterans Affairs, which aims to improve the housing environment for low-income and elderly veterans' families. In April, they held an opening ceremony for the 141st house.

Namil Lee, Director of the Busan Regional Office of Veterans Affairs, said, "Through this agreement, I hope that veterans culture will spread to even more diverse fields," adding, "We will realize genuine veterans affairs by remembering, honoring, and repaying the devotion to the nation through strengthened public-private cooperation."
