Gwangju City to Operate Customized "Exploration Program" for Youth Through November

Every Second Wednesday of the Month at the Employment Welfare Plus Center

Gwangju City to Operate Customized "Exploration Program" for Youth Through November Youth Employment Policy Exploration Program. Provided by Gwangju City

Gwangju City is operating the "Youth Employment Policy Exploration Program" to encourage young people to actively utilize employment support policies. This program is part of the Youth Growth Project and is conducted in collaboration with the Gwangju Employment Welfare Plus Center.

The "Youth Growth Project" is a public contest project promoted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor to prevent young people from giving up on job searching. Through cooperation with local governments, it provides tailored counseling, employment and entrepreneurship support, and daily recovery programs to unemployed youth aged 15 to 39.

To implement the Youth Growth Project, the city has been operating the integrated regional youth job-seeking support platform "Gwangju Youth Job Station (Dongmyeong and Sangmu Centers)" since last year.

This exploration program, jointly promoted by the Gwangju Youth Job Station and the Ministry of Employment and Labor's Employment Welfare Plus Center, was designed to enhance the practical utilization of employment support policies by young people and to strengthen their job-seeking capabilities.

The exploration program consists of: ▲Special lectures by current professionals in the field of social welfare ▲Introduction to youth employment policies and youth support projects (such as the National Employment Support System, Youth Challenge Support Project, and Future Tomorrow Work Experience) ▲Employment Center Policy Stamp Tour, and more. The program will be held at the Gwangju Employment Welfare Plus Center from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month, from this month through November.

Youth who wish to participate can apply through the "Dongmyeong Center Direct Link - Understanding Youth Policy" on the Gwangju Youth Job Station website. Up to 30 participants can join each session. For more information, please contact the Gwangju Youth Job Station Dongmyeong Center.

On May 15, Kwon Yoonsuk, Director of Youth Policy, said, "We expect that by experiencing employment policies firsthand, young people will not only strengthen their job-seeking capabilities but also increase their use of youth policies," adding, "We will continue to expand customized support policies for job-seeking youth in the future."
