Reinforcement of Interior Facilities Until July 15

Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail) announced on May 15 that it will carry out reinforcement work on the interior facilities of the Gwangju Songjeong Station parking building from May 19 to July 15 to improve user convenience.

This construction will be carried out in stages to minimize inconvenience for parking lot users and to prevent safety accidents. From May 19 to June 22, parking will be available on all floors from the 1st to the 7th, except for the 2nd floor. However, from June 23 to July 15, parking will be available only on the 1st to 3rd floors.

Korail Gwangju Headquarters, anticipating a shortage of parking spaces and inconvenience due to the construction, is requesting that users utilize public transportation and nearby parking lots. The locations of nearby parking lots will also be provided via a popup window in the Korail Talk app.

A Korail official stated, "This reinforcement work is essential to ensure the safety of parking building users, and the construction period was set to avoid early May, when spring visitors are concentrated, and the summer vacation season." The official added, "We will do our utmost to minimize inconvenience during the construction period, including efforts to shorten the construction schedule."
