Oh Juhyung Inaugurated as New Director of Kyung Hee University Medical Center

Kyung Hee University Medical Center announced on the 15th that it held the inauguration ceremony for Oh Juhyung, the third director of Kyung Hee University Medical Center, at Kyung Hee Medical Center in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, on the 14th.

Kyung Hee University Medical Center is a single medical institution that integrates Kyung Hee Medical Center and Gangdong Kyung Hee University Hospital. The term of the new director, Oh, is two years, beginning on March 24.


Approximately 300 guests and officials attended the inauguration ceremony, including Lee Pilhyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu; Ahn Kyubaek, National Assembly member; Jang Seunghee, Head of Dongdaemun-gu Public Health Center; Lim Minsik, President of the Dongdaemun-gu Medical Association; Kim Jinsang, President of Kyung Hee University; Woo Jungtaek, Vice President for Medical Affairs at Kyung Hee University; Lee Woo-in, Director of Gangdong Kyung Hee University Hospital; as well as former vice presidents for medical affairs and directors of Kyung Hee University Medical Center Lim Youngjin, Kim Kitaek, and Kim Sungwan.


Director Oh presented new directions for Kyung Hee University Medical Center, including: establishing an innovative research and clinical cluster; strengthening management expertise through governance reform; and improving infrastructure and medical equipment to enhance patient-centered clinical capabilities.


In his inaugural address, he stated, "In the rapidly changing medical environment, it is time to reflect on the essence of medicine, present a new paradigm, and reaffirm Kyung Hee Medicine's practical sense of mission." He emphasized, "I will do my utmost to ensure that Kyung Hee University Medical Center becomes a leading medical institution of the future by establishing an innovative research and clinical cluster based on an industry-academia collaboration network; fostering a virtuous management cycle through strengthening critical care capabilities and transitioning to a specialist-centered hospital; and promoting clinical innovation by improving outdated outpatient and ward environments and upgrading advanced medical equipment infrastructure."
