A "barefoot walking trail" has been created at the Seowon section of Hanbat Arboretum in Daejeon.

According to the city on May 15, the trail was constructed in an eco-friendly manner, separated from the existing walking paths and following the boundary of the Seowon section of the arboretum, using red clay and decomposed granite. The trail is 1.5 kilometers long and between 1.5 and 2 meters wide.

Facilities such as a foot-washing station, shoe rack, and benches have also been installed so that citizens can comfortably enjoy barefoot walking in nature.

Barefoot walking is known to stimulate the muscles and nerves of the soles of the feet, promote blood circulation, and offer various health benefits, including natural healing effects, psychological stability, and stress relief.

An official from Daejeon City stated, "In response to the high level of public interest in barefoot walking, we will strive to establish Hanbat Arboretum as a space where people can enjoy both health and healing."
