The Busan National Science Museum (Director: Song Samjong) is presenting two new science performances in celebration of Family Month in May.

Busan National Science Museum Presents Two New Science Performances for Family Month Posters of 'Sunday Science Theater Season 2' and 'Unbelievable Show'.

The new science performances are Sunday Science Theater Season 2, "Eongttung Doctor's Secret Laboratory," which will be held from May 4 to August 24, and a special performance, "Unbelievable Show," scheduled for May 31.

First, Sunday Science Theater Season 2, "Eongttung Doctor's Secret Laboratory," is a science performance that explains fascinating magic tricks and the scientific principles behind them in a way that is easy and fun for children to understand.

The performance features Eongttung Doctor conducting experiments with the audience, learning scientific principles one by one together.

The program includes interactive activities for the audience, such as a laser performance demonstrating the straight-line propagation of light, a water balloon experiment using heat convection to show that the balloon does not burst even when exposed to fire, an air cannon experience based on Bernoulli's principle, and a soap bubble experiment.

The performance lasts about 20 minutes and takes place every Sunday at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. in the main conference hall from May 4 to August 24.

The special performance "Unbelievable Show," prepared for Family Month, will be held for one day only on May 31 in the museum's main conference hall.

This performance, themed around toys and featuring soap bubbles, balloons, and shadows, will star BubbleJ (Lee Jeongsik), a bubble artist and children's performance idol who has performed in over 100 cities worldwide.

The show is designed to captivate children with its mesmerizing performances, while also evoking cherished childhood memories for adults through its playful storytelling.

The performance will be held twice in one day, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and tickets can be reserved through the Busan National Science Museum's online ticket office starting from the 21st. Admission is 3,000 won.

More details about both performances can be found on the Busan National Science Museum website.

Kwon Sujin, Head of the Science Culture Office at the Busan National Science Museum, said, "We have prepared science performances that the whole family, from children to adults, can enjoy together," adding, "We will continue to present a variety of content formats that make science more approachable."
