Woori Bank Partners with Public Institutions to Support Youth Preparing for Independence

On May 15, Woori Bank announced that it had signed a "Business Agreement for Supporting the Independence of Vulnerable Youth" on May 14 at the headquarters of the Korea Self-Sufficiency and Welfare Development Institute in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, together with the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency and the Korea Self-Sufficiency and Welfare Development Institute.


The signing ceremony was attended by Park Jongin, Vice President of Woori Bank; Choi Inho, Deputy President of the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency; and Jeong Haesik, President of the Korea Self-Sufficiency and Welfare Development Institute. The three organizations agreed to cooperate to help young people preparing for independence settle stably in society.


Through this agreement, the three organizations plan to select 100 young people, including low-income youth preparing for independence, family caregivers, and socially withdrawn youth, and provide support such as: △ financial and economic education to strengthen their capacity for self-reliance, and △ scholarships to promote independence.


In particular, Woori Bank plans to offer customized financial education tailored to the needs of youth preparing for independence, and to support their stable integration into society through various programs, including scholarship and post-support initiatives.


A representative from Woori Bank stated, "This agreement is a meaningful starting point for providing practical assistance to help vulnerable youth achieve healthy independence," and added, "We will continue to actively seek out and expand support for those in need in order to fulfill the social responsibility of finance."
