The core of this project is to use small libraries within LH-operated public apartments as community hubs, aiming to both restore a sense of community and reduce management fees through residents' reading activities and participation in programs. Residents who use the library or take part in related programs are awarded 100 to 200 points, and the accumulated points can be used to deduct up to 10,000 won per month from their management fees.
The funding comes from donations of 2 million won from Munhwa Credit Union and 1 million won from the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of LH. These donations will be used to compensate for the management fee discounts provided through the points system.
Bukgu District plans to encourage the use of small libraries by operating customized programs for residents and will continue to provide administrative support to ensure the stable establishment of the project.
Chief Moon stated, "We will continue to actively pursue various collaborative projects to enhance the welfare of our residents in the future."
