Bordeaux 1993 Vintage Collection Priced in the 5 Million Won Range
Emart announced on May 15 that it will hold its largest wine market event of the first half of the year from May 16 to 22.
Through this event, Emart has prepared benefits that allow customers to purchase wine at prices similar to or even lower than last year, despite the increased exchange rate. For example, "Natale Berga Barolo (750ml, Italy)" will be sold for 24,800 won, which is 3,000 won cheaper than the October 2024 price of 27,800 won. "Vidalfleury Chateauneuf-du-Pape (750ml, France)" is available for 54,800 won, down 5,000 won. "Cono Sauvignon Blanc (750ml, New Zealand)" is offered at 12,800 won, which is significantly lower than the overseas average price of 21,337 won.
Emart has also prepared extensive discount benefits in partnership with credit card companies. "Giacomo Borgogno No Name Nebbiolo (750ml, Italy)" is available for 49,600 won, a 20% discount from the original price of 62,000 won when purchased with a participating card. "Lan Mencion Reserva (750ml, Spain)" is also offered at a 20% discount, for 11,040 won.
To meet the demand for white and sparkling wines, 26 varieties of these wines will be available at a 30% discount when purchased with a participating card. There will also be special daily deals. Additional benefits are available for customers who accumulate Shinsegae Points.
On May 18, "Castel Rochemage Cabernet Sauvignon (750ml, France)" will be sold for 9,800 won. From May 19 to 20, "Broquel (Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, 750ml, Argentina)" will be available for 12,800 won. On May 21 and 22, "G7 (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, 750ml, Chile)" will be sold for 5,530 won each.
Through the wine grab service on the Emart application (app), customers can also find premium products that are difficult to purchase in stores. Notably, the first growth Bordeaux wine "Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Latour, Haut-Brion, Margaux 1993 Vintage Collection (750ml x 4, France)" is available for 5,980,000 won. This is a great choice to commemorate a birth vintage and is a rare find for old vintage enthusiasts.
Additionally, Emart is offering the "Golden Blanc Vintage Seven Star 3 Types (Blue, Green, Purple, each 750ml, France)" set, which includes a 99.9% pure gold pendant, for 1,398,000 won. There will also be a 2004 old vintage special exhibition featuring renowned Burgundy wineries such as Emmanuel Rouget and Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes.
Go Ara, Emart's beverage buyer, said, "We have created an opportunity to experience a wide variety of wines, including the latest trends in white and sparkling wines, as well as new selections that have not been available before. Despite the continued high exchange rate and rising prices, we have made it possible for customers to enjoy wine at more reasonable prices."
