iM Securities Launches 'iM Asset Next-Day Withdrawal Ultra-Short Bond Fund'

On May 15, iM Securities announced the launch of the 'iM Asset Next-Day Withdrawal Ultra-Short Bond Investment Trust (Bond)', a product designed for active management of short-term funds.

The 'iM Asset Next-Day Withdrawal Ultra-Short Bond Fund' allows investors to withdraw their funds the day after a redemption request without incurring any redemption fees. By investing in short-maturity instruments such as CP (commercial paper), the fund ensures liquidity and enables rapid redemptions, thus offering high cashability.

The fund aims to generate returns through investments in domestic bonds and similar instruments. By primarily investing in short-term bonds, it seeks stable returns through both capital appreciation and interest income from the investment assets.

At least 60% of the fund's assets are invested in high-quality instruments such as bonds rated A- or higher and CP rated A2- or higher. The fund selects investment targets through quantitative evaluations such as financial ratios and qualitative assessments such as industry risk. In addition, fundamental analysis for each company is conducted to minimize credit risk.

The fund maintains a short weighted average maturity (duration) of around 0.4 years, aiming for more aggressive returns compared to MMFs (money market funds), while also seeking relatively stable interest income compared to general short-term bond funds, even amid market interest rate fluctuations and increased uncertainty. Based on expected scenarios such as interest rate hikes, cuts, or holds according to monetary policy directions, the fund invests mainly in short-term bonds with shorter weighted average maturities when interest rates are expected to rise, and in assets with longer weighted average maturities when a rate decrease is anticipated.

Additionally, up to 50% of the fund's total assets may be allocated to repurchase agreement (Repo) sales to secure liquidity, while the funds raised are used to seek additional investment opportunities and pursue excess returns.

An iM Securities representative stated, "This fund offers high cashability by allowing next-day withdrawals after a redemption request," adding, "With a variety of strategies to pursue excess returns, it is a product that can be actively utilized for managing short-term liquid funds."
