Up to 30% Firmer Texture Compared to Conventional Pan-Frying Tofu
On May 15, Pulmuone Foods announced the launch of "Domestic Soybean Tofu for Side Dish Cooking," a product that features a firm texture and resists crumbling, making it suitable for a variety of tofu dishes. With this new release, Pulmuone's "Domestic Soybean Tofu" lineup now includes three options: tofu for stews, tofu for pan-frying, and tofu for side dish cooking, allowing consumers to select the tofu best suited for their desired menu.
The Domestic Soybean Tofu for Side Dish Cooking is tailored for side dishes, designed to be up to 30% firmer than conventional pan-frying tofu. It does not break apart easily even without pre-frying, making it convenient for use in braised dishes, mapo tofu, tofu gangjeong, and other stir-fried or fried recipes. After cooking, the tofu offers a crispy exterior and a soft interior. In addition, the tofu is lightly salted to enhance its signature umami and nutty flavor, making it ideal for side dish preparation.
This product is made exclusively with premium-grade domestic soybeans, carefully selected in accordance with Pulmuone's "Right Food" principles. By using only the highest quality beans, the tofu delivers a richer, nuttier taste, and the packaging clearly indicates the use of domestic soybeans so consumers can easily verify the product's origin.
A representative from Pulmuone Foods stated, "We have launched this new tofu for side dish cooking so that consumers can enjoy our popular domestic soybean tofu products, made with premium-grade beans, in a wider variety of cooking methods. Building on Pulmuone's expertise in tofu manufacturing, we plan to further strengthen our market leadership by offering high-quality, premium tofu products."
