The Community Health Survey has been conducted nationwide every year since 2008, with the goal of producing city, county, and district-level health statistics needed for promoting public health and developing regionally tailored health policies.

This year's survey will target adults aged 19 and older residing in Yecheon County. It consists of 175 questions across 19 areas, including quality of life and activity limitations, health behaviors such as smoking, drinking, and physical activity, vaccinations and health screenings, prevalence rates, healthcare utilization, accidents and poisoning, use of health institutions, social and physical environment, education and economic activities. The survey will generate 135 statistical indicators.

The Yecheon County Public Health Center has signed a business agreement with Yeungnam University, the university responsible for the Community Health Survey in the region, and has hired four surveyors who completed their training and finished the preliminary household sampling survey.

During the survey period, surveyors will wear red vests and carry identification cards stamped with the public health center director's seal. They will conduct one-on-one interviews using tablet PCs equipped with electronic questionnaires. Participants will receive a small gift certificate as an incentive.

Public Health Center Director Namgi Ahn stated, "This survey will serve as important foundational data for scientifically assessing the health status of Yecheon County residents and developing effective public health policies. I ask for the active participation and cooperation of residents when surveyors visit."
