The Kumho Neighbor Village Development Project has been underway since 2022, focusing on five key areas to address local extinction and demographic imbalance: job creation, housing expansion, improvement of living conditions, community revitalization, and attracting young people.

This project aims to unlock the potential of the Kumho area by supporting youth entrepreneurship, idea discovery, regional revitalization, and promotional activities nationwide.

Youth groups and clubs will be operated in three categories: supporting the discovery of startup items and the creation of business items related to Kumho; supporting activities for developing content to revitalize the Kumho area; and supporting promotional clubs engaged in publicizing the Kumho region as a whole.

Recruitment targets clubs consisting of at least five members, aged 19 to 45, from across the country, with a plan to select at least nine teams in total.

Selected clubs will be provided with professional mentor matching and consulting for each club, opportunities to visit Kumho monthly to carry out team missions, and participation in events related to the Kumho Neighbor Village.

Applications and registrations are accepted online through the Kumho Neighbor Village and Gyeongbuk TP websites, and successful applicants will be announced on May 30.

Ha Inseong, President of Gyeongbuk TP, stated, "We will support young people from all over the country so they can come together in Kumho, Yeongcheon, to engage in creative and free activities, and we hope that their creative ideas and passion will become the driving force for regional change."
