Jeon Hyunhee, co-chair of the Democratic Party's election campaign committee, stated that Lee Jaemyung, the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, is facing terror threats. She said, "We must consider every possible countermeasure, including installing bulletproof glass barriers on all four sides at campaign sites, just like former U.S. President Trump."

At the Central Election Countermeasures Committee meeting held at the Democratic Party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 14th, Co-chair Jeon said, "Acting President and Deputy Prime Minister for Education Lee Jooho must strongly instruct the relevant authorities to provide the highest level of security for candidate Lee." She added, "If anything happens to presidential candidate Lee Jaemyung, the acting president and the current government will bear full responsibility."

She emphasized, "The top priority in the remaining period until the presidential election is to protect candidate Lee. There are continuous reports that insurrectionist forces are plotting a terror attack against him as their last resort to extend their grip on power."

She continued, "There have been terror reports containing specific details, such as Russian-made pistols, smuggled sniper rifles, and the deployment of black agents. These reports indicate that this is an emergency situation that cannot be overlooked." She stressed, "A terror attack against a presidential candidate is not only an attack on the candidate but also an act of destroying democracy by targeting voters."

She also urged, "Counterterrorism authorities, including the National Intelligence Service, must not overlook even the smallest signs of terrorism and should do their utmost to prevent and suppress any attacks." She added, "The Democratic Party will take every possible measure to ensure that candidate Lee can safely complete the election campaign."
