On May 14, the city of Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, announced that it had appointed trot singer Seunghoon Ahn, who won the grand prize (Jin) on the trot competition program "Mr. Trot Season 2," as its city ambassador during a ceremony held in the mayor's office at city hall on the 13th.

The city explained that Ahn was chosen as ambassador because of his outstanding vocal talent and cheerful personality, which have enabled him to actively participate in various performances, events, and even entertainment programs. In addition, his deep filial piety, demonstrated by gifting a country house to his parents who live in Anseong, was also a reason for his appointment.
Ahn stated, "Anseong is my hometown in my heart, where I spent my childhood," and added, "I will do my best to widely promote Anseong's culture, arts, and hidden charms."
Bora Kim, Mayor of Anseong, said, "It is meaningful to have Ahn, who is not only widely recognized but also loved for his warm personality and sincerity, serve as our ambassador," and continued, "I hope he will become a strong bridge to convey the beauty and value of Anseong."
At the appointment ceremony, Ahn also joined Mayor Kim in promoting the Anseong Hometown Love Donation Program.
