Seven Categories Including Basic Design and Webtoon

Dongmyung University (President Lee Sangcheon) will hold its 23rd Design and Art Practical Skills Competition on campus on May 17, targeting talented high school students from across the country.
Participants in this nationwide high school design and art practical skills competition at Dongmyung University will showcase their talents in seven categories: Change of Perspective, Basic Design, Idea and Expression, Situation Expression, Comic Strip, Human Figure Watercolor, and Still Life Watercolor.
A Grand Prize (1), Gold Prize (1), Silver Prize (2), Bronze Prize (3), Special Awards, and Outstanding Instructor Awards will be presented. Winners of the Bronze Prize or higher who enroll in Dongmyung University's design or webtoon-related departments for the 2026 academic year (valid within three years from the date of the award) will receive scholarship benefits. All award-winning students will also receive additional admission points.
The Korea Fine Arts Association, Busan Fine Arts Association, Busan Design Promotion Agency, Korea Illustration Art Association, Korea Communication Design Association, Busan Design Association, Mgood (Monthly Art College Entrance Exam), and Busan media and broadcasting companies will sponsor the special awards.
The announcement of winners is scheduled for May 20, and will be communicated to each school and academy, as well as posted on the website of Dongmyung University's Department of Visual Design.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for May 30 at 2:00 p.m. in the Seminar Hall on the first floor of the main building at Dongmyung University. An exhibition of the award-winning works (Special Prize or higher) will be held simultaneously on the day of the ceremony at the Dongmyung Gallery on the 2nd floor of the Architecture and Design Building and in the Cyber Gallery on the Dongmyung University website.
