Chungdahm Academy Continues Growth of Specialized Middle and High School English Program "THE OPEN"

Chungdahm Academy (CREVERSE CEO Lee Donghun), a leader in the domestic English education market, announced on May 15 that the number of students enrolled in its specialized middle and high school English program for school exams and the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), "THE OPEN," launched last year, has increased by 38% compared to the previous semester, continuing its double-digit growth trend.

Chungdahm Academy's curriculum is structured so that lower elementary students focus on developing English thinking and expressive skills through native-speaker-led ESL classes, while upper elementary students and above systematically build grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension skills through "THE OPEN." This step-by-step approach is designed to optimize students' English proficiency for domestic entrance exams. As a result, students acquire both practical language skills and a competitive edge for entrance exams.

"THE OPEN" is a program that maximizes learning effectiveness by leveraging Chungdahm Academy's strengths in ESL (English as a Second Language) education and providing a curriculum optimized for domestic school exams and the CSAT.

The "THE OPEN" program has received positive feedback from both parents and students based on the following three distinctive strengths.

First, the curriculum enables students to study both ESL and EFL simultaneously, allowing them to improve their English thinking and expressive skills while also achieving the top grade in both school exams and the CSAT.

Second, by focusing on strengthening reading comprehension, which is a core competency for achieving high scores in the domestic entrance exam environment, the program helps students develop "advanced reading" skills for distinguishing themselves in high-difficulty passages, as well as "speed reading and comprehension" skills to quickly identify key points and find correct answers within limited time during actual exams.

Third, the program supports students in proactively preparing for top grades in high school English exams and the CSAT starting from middle school.

Meanwhile, CREVERSE announced that it has expanded the number of locations offering "THE OPEN" to 43 nationwide starting this spring semester. This is approximately three times the number of locations compared to the winter of 2024. The program, which is selectively offered to students of a certain level and grade, has seen over 60% of all eligible students enroll within just one year of its launch, demonstrating the high brand trust in Chungdahm Academy. In particular, over 90% of regular course students at Seocho Chungdahm Academy are participating in "THE OPEN," marking an overwhelming enrollment rate.

A Chungdahm Academy representative stated, "Celebrating our 27th anniversary, Chungdahm Academy has been a leading brand in domestic English education. Going forward, we plan to maximize the synergy between 'THE OPEN' and our regular ESL programs, supporting students in developing both English proficiency and entrance exam competitiveness tailored to the domestic education environment. With our expert teaching staff and differentiated curriculum, we will do our utmost to help each student realize their full potential, even as the entrance exam landscape continues to change rapidly."
