Achieving Simultaneous Victories in the Gold and Silver Divisions
Confirming Status as the Strongest Team in the Busan Region
Dong-A University (President Lee Haewoo) announced that the Professors Tennis Club achieved simultaneous victories in both the Gold and Silver divisions at the 61st Busan Teachers Association University Tennis Tournament.
In particular, the Gold division achieved an impressive milestone by winning the tournament for the fourth consecutive time.

On May 10, at the Geumjeong Sports Park Tennis Courts in Busan, the Gold division team?comprising Professor Emeritus Yang Kisuk (Department of Media and Communication), Professors Jung Youngsoo (Department of Biomaterials Engineering), Kim Jungil (Department of Medicine), Heo Jaebok (Department of Biomaterials Engineering), Shin Kiok (Department of Physical Education), and Jung Sungmoon (Department of Economics)?won all their matches in the preliminary league, advanced to the finals as the top seed, and defeated Busan National University of Education by a score of 2-1.
In the third game of the finals, after a fiercely contested match that went to a tiebreak with the game score tied at 5-5, they secured a thrilling victory with a final score of 7-6.
In the Silver division, Professor Emeritus Jung Jongsoo (Department of Information Mathematics), Professors Han Seungho (Department of Mechanical Engineering), Kim Kyungtae (Department of Biomaterials Engineering), Yeom Changhong (Department of Health Management), and Bang Junghui (Department of Medicine) also went undefeated in the preliminary league, defeated Busan University of Foreign Studies 2-1 in the semifinals, and advanced to the finals.
In the final, they completed the simultaneous championship by defeating Silla University 2-1.
By winning both the Gold and Silver divisions without a single loss, Dong-A University once again confirmed its status as the strongest team in the Busan region.
The Dong-A University Professors Tennis Club consists of about 30 current and former professors as members. The club participates in approximately 10 tournaments each year, promoting the name of Dong-A University both nationwide and in the local community.
