Doosan Engineering & Construction Achieves Highest Performance in a Decade on Its 65th Anniversary

Minimizing Unsold Inventory Through Data-Driven Selective Order Intake

Celebrating its 65th anniversary this year, Doosan Engineering & Construction has achieved its highest performance in a decade, laying the foundation for a new leap forward.

On May 14, Doosan Engineering & Construction announced that it recorded sales of 2.1753 trillion won, operating profit of 108.1 billion won, and net profit of 19.8 billion won last year. This marks the company's best management performance in ten years. Operating profit increased by 77% compared to the previous year, and the company has maintained profitability for six consecutive years. To share these achievements with its employees, Doosan Engineering & Construction also paid out the largest performance bonuses in its history since its founding.

The company has also secured financial soundness. By pursuing data-driven business operations, Doosan Engineering & Construction minimized the risk of unsold inventory. Recently, the company was recognized by Korea Investors Service for its financial structure and project financing contingent liability management capabilities, resulting in an upgrade of both its commercial paper and electronic short-term bond credit ratings.

Since its establishment in 1960, Doosan Engineering & Construction has grown alongside the development of South Korea's construction industry. Leveraging its extensive experience and outstanding technical expertise, the company has successfully completed numerous projects and ranks second in the nation for high-rise construction achievements (according to the Korea Skyscraper & Urban Architecture Association). 'Haeundae Doosan We've the Zenith' (80 floors/300 meters) and 'Daegu Doosan We've the Zenith' (54 floors/200 meters) have become regional landmarks. In 2011, the company participated as the lead contractor for the Shinbundang Line, South Korea's first privately proposed unmanned heavy rail, overseeing the entire process from planning and design to construction and operation.

Under its 'people-centered' corporate philosophy, Doosan Engineering & Construction has built a healthy organizational culture and pursued mutual growth with its employees. The company has established a culture of fair compensation based on a transparent evaluation system, sharing profits with all members of the organization. This has served as a driving force for boosting employee motivation and enhancing organizational productivity.
