On May 14, Pacific Ocean announced, "Park Hwajin, a labor expert who has worked at the Ministry of Employment and Labor for nearly 30 years, leading policy development and institutional improvement, has joined as an advisor."

After graduating from Seoul National University with a degree in Sociology, Park entered public service by passing the 34th Civil Service Examination. He subsequently held key positions such as Director General of Labor Standards, Director General of Labor-Management Cooperation Policy, Director General of Industrial Accident Prevention and Compensation Policy, Standing Commissioner of the Central Labor Relations Commission, and Director General of Labor Policy, before serving as Vice Minister of Employment and Labor.

Going forward, Park will provide advisory services on personnel and labor management, including wages, working hours, and collective bargaining, as well as on response and prevention of serious industrial accidents, through Pacific Ocean's HR and Labor Group and Serious Accident Response Headquarters. Pacific Ocean expects that, based on his practical experience in serious accident response and prevention, Park will be able to anticipate related policies and expand the firm's range of legal services.

Lee Junki, Managing Partner at Pacific Ocean, stated, "With the addition of Park Hwajin, who has extensive experience and expertise, the competitiveness of Pacific Ocean's HR and Labor Group and Serious Accident Response sector has been significantly strengthened. We will quickly and accurately grasp policy and regulatory trends to proactively prevent client risks and provide more comprehensive legal services."

Meanwhile, Pacific Ocean's Serious Accident Response Headquarters is the first among domestic law firms to operate a 24-hour 'Comprehensive Situation Room' system to help companies block management risks and achieve early normalization.
