The Bando Cultural Foundation announced on the 14th that it held the awards ceremony for the 6th Bando Family Love Drawing and Photography Contest. The Bando Cultural Foundation is a non-profit public organization established by Bando Construction in 2019 to promote the popularization of local culture and the arts.
This year marks the 6th edition of the contest, which received a total of 575 entries on the theme of "Family Love." Nineteen main prize winners were selected through a judging process and received a total of 3.4 million won in prize money, certificates, a collection of the winning works, and the opportunity to participate in an exhibition.
By category, the grand prize in the drawing section went to child artist Son A-yoon for "Sweet Nap," while the grand prize in the photography section was awarded to Lee Daeyoung for "Communion with Grandchild."
The winning works are being exhibited at the Bando Cultural Foundation Ivy Lounge in Dongtan, Gyeonggi Province, from May 10 to May 25.
Kwon Hongsa, Chairman of the Bando Cultural Foundation, stated, "We aim to enhance social awareness of various forms of families and to contribute to the spread of a happy family culture through the contest and exhibition, where families can come together."
