Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival: Ten Million Roses in the Heart of the City
The 17th Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival, known as "the most beautiful festival in Seoul," will take place from May 16 to 24 along the Jungnangcheon Rose Tunnel and at Jungnang Rose Park. The country's longest rose tunnel, stretching 5.45 kilometers, will feature 228 varieties and 310,000 rose bushes in full bloom, offering a spectacle of ten million roses.
During the "Grand Rose Festival" from May 16 to 18, there will be performances by popular singers such as Song Gain, Boohwal, and Monni, as well as a rose parade, a walking event, and various interactive and exhibition programs. On the final day, May 24, the "Jungnang Artist Festival" and community performances will be held at Myeonmok Sports Park. Throughout the festival, visitors can also enjoy discounts at Jungnang-gu restaurants, a flea market, and food booths, providing a feast for all the senses.

Seongbuk World Food Festival Nurimasil: Cuisine and Culture from 19 Countries in One Place
On May 18, the 17th Seongbuk World Food Festival Nurimasil: Matjiguna will take place around Seongbuk-ro in Seongbuk-dong. Nurimasil is a cultural diversity festival that introduces a variety of global cultures through food. It is Seongbuk-gu's signature festival, attracting about 60,000 visitors annually.
Traditional dishes from 19 countries across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas will be presented by their respective embassies. There will also be a "Climate Gastronomy Special Zone," reflecting the era of climate crisis, and a variety of food booths run by local shops and organizations. Families can enjoy a rich lineup of activities, including a flea market, world culture experiences, street performances, and parades.
All food booths are required to use reusable containers, setting an example for eco-friendly festivals. A price cap of 8,000 won has been set to make the food more affordable. The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Yangcheon Y Education Expo: A Place for Future Education and the Environment for the Whole Family
The "Y Education Expo 2025" will be held around Yangcheon District Office from May 15 to 17. Under the theme "Green Schooling: The Earth as a Textbook," 32 programs will be offered, including the Future Education Expo, Career and College Expo, Youth Competition, and Lifelong Learning Festival. The organizers expect about 60,000 visitors.
This year, hands-on content for all generations has been greatly expanded, including experiences with drones, robots, and virtual reality (VR), an AI and mathematics convergence zone, career counseling, lectures by notable figures, a kids' play zone, and a flea market.
At the opening ceremony on May 15, there will be performances by rapper Lee Youngji and the Unique Cello Quartet. During the expo, the Career and College Expo will also be held at Yangcheon-gu Sports Center and Haenuri Town, offering the latest information on career and college pathways in one place.
