A total of 21 participants to be selected across 7 fields, including neighborhood knife sharpening and umbrella repair
Four-month employment starting in July; applications accepted at local community centers until May 23
Dongdaemun-gu District Office in Seoul (Mayor Lee Pilhyung) is recruiting residents to participate in the '2025 Second Half Regional Community Job Project.'
This project will select a total of 21 participants across seven fields: ▲Neighborhood Knife Sharpening·Umbrella Repair ▲Employment Support for SMEs·Small Business Owners ▲Visiting Disinfection Service ▲Outreach Multicultural Awareness Education ▲Dreamjaram Joint Childcare Room Facility Management ▲Resource Recycling Project ▲Village Square Ggakgumi Operation Project. Those selected will work for approximately four months, from July 1 to October 31. Working conditions are five days a week, with either three or six hours per day, and the 2025 minimum wage (10,030 KRW per hour) will apply.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, registered residents of Dongdaemun-gu as of the recruitment announcement date, and capable of working. Foreigners with a foreign registration number are also eligible. However, only those whose household income is at or below 70% of the median income, and whose total assets (including land, buildings, houses, vehicles, etc.) do not exceed 400 million KRW, may apply.
Residents wishing to participate should visit their local community center with their ID by May 23 to apply. After the application deadline, the district will conduct a screening process and notify successful applicants individually on June 24.
Lee Pilhyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, "The Regional Community Job Project is a meaningful opportunity that goes beyond simply providing jobs, as it helps participants gain social experience and achieve economic independence. We hope for the interest and participation of many residents."
